The story of Culture started with the birth of a beautiful multi-ethnic baby girl named Alex. Alex’s mom, Kris Guccione, couldn’t find the right products to care for her daughter’s hair. The products she used on herself were too drying. The products Alex’s “aunties” used were too oily. Styling in general was out of the question. As Alex became a teen, the issue only grew worse. She and her mom had collected a countertop full of products from every brand on the market, but still had no luck. Kris decided to take matters into her own hands. She got to work, tracking down industry experts, testing ingredients from all over the world, and finally taking it to the lab to develop a one-of-a-kind formula. After plenty of blood, sweat, tears and time, Culture was born...and Alex finally loved her curls.
