Meet Wajeedah from Allentown, PA

Meet Ashro Woman of the Week, Wajeedah S. from Allentown, PA.

Ashro Woman of the Week WAJEEDAH, a black woman in sunglasses, long yellow jacket, black pant, and a black headwrap.

If you want to make Wajeedahā€™s day, bring her a piece of dark chocolate cake with a cup of coffee. (This woman deserves it!) Over the years, Wajeedaā€™s mother, daughter and son have all had physical and mental illnesses that involved daily care, medical tests and uncertainty. Faith has gotten her through, ā€œFaith causes me to look over the mountaintop of my own life.ā€ She has also found joy in writing, ā€œIf I am having a problem with the REAL world, I can create my own world.ā€ During her family membersā€™ illnesses, she wrote 4 novels and a short film!

Style is another outlet for Wajeedah. She has been wearing head wraps since the 1970s. ā€œMy girlfriend and I used to wrap our headsā€¦because we said we know we are Queens. We would laugh because we asked ourselves why are we thinking this way?ā€ Maybe at a young age, Wajeedah understood the power of style to express and uplift our spirits.

I’m so impressed with this catalogue-magazine, blog, Ashro WOW, etc. Its so much more than a catalogue. I usually toss the catalogue without ordering, but this time I placed an order online. That provided the opportunity to check out the site, and I’m so happy I did so.

I was inspired by Wajeedah comments on life and how she work through her problems with a positive attitude and so supportive to her family and inspirational in her goals. Thanks for the encouragement. and allways keeping our father in heaven at your side he is our stronghold in life.
